You should visit Liberty State Park which is located in Jersey City. This park was opened in 1976 to have celebrations. This park is also mantained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. Liberty State Park is bordered by water on the North, the South and East. This park was a small island named Black Tom and projects in the late 1800s helped to join the island with the mainland. There has been many events in this park and it is fun to visit.
